Susan Proctor was born 1962 in Johannesburg, South Africa and attended Blairgowrie Primary School and Roosevelt Park High School where she matriculated in 1981.

Susan is influenced by her mother, artist, Marta Proctor as well as Charles Sheeler, Pablo Picasso, Henry Moore, Hundertwasser, Paul Klee, and more recently, Jeff Koons and South African Simon Stone.

 

At 21 years old, she started interior design company Form & Function and successfully completed projects for USA Embassy - Gaborone, Johnson & Johnson, Glaxo Smith Kline, IBM, SAB, Adcock Ingrams Critical Care, Ashcor - Lesotho, Olivedale Clinic and more recently Bokamoso Hospital in Botswana.

 

Amongst other ventures, Susan has operated a children's boutique, interior decor retail & fitout, florist and a small coffee shop.

 

Susan has had a lifelong fascination with architecture, interior design, fashion and vintage collectible clothing and lives in Kommetjie outside Cape Town. She has two daughters.
