Religeous Art
Much of my work is created from my relationship with God. I constantly feel God's presence around me - in everything I see and in the gifts He has blessed me with which has resulted in a life of abundance.

I was baptised in water in the year 2000 and have followed a very rocky road - many a time falling away, only to be swept back into God's grace and mercy by a constant chain of miracles.
Some of my art is completely unplanned - it simply flows from my hands. On other occasions, I may have a dream or a vision, and then the image is imprinted in my mind and it is very easy to execute it during the following days or weeks. None of my work is "hurried" and I am happy to redo and throw away anything that does not meet with my critical eye.
Abstract Art
I easily relate to abstract and non-realism art, and often create impromptu "found things" - I am greatly influenced by my travels and have an enormous resource of photographs from France, Italy, London, New York, Thailand, Hong Kong, the bushveld, Botswana, Madagascar, Mauritius, France, Seychelles, Mocambique, Portugal, Spain, the Caribbean and throughout South Africa.
Portraits
One of my areas of fascination is portraiture in the unconventional form. I am learning to work with "flat" colour and am inspired my Maggie Laubscher as well as Irma Stern from South Africa. I don't really copy actual people accurately and many of my portraits are either of a version of myself or they are an imagined person or an impression I have of a famous actor or actress.
Still life & Botanical
I have been discovering the joy of painting flowers and still life - my work is spontaneous and I suppose much of it could be labelled as "abstract/impressionist" as I do not stick to the rules to create a completely realistic painting - rather, I substitute the correct colour for an "equal and opposite" colour.
Eroticsism & Sensuality
The female form is perfectly created and always a joy to draw or paint. I find it natural to be working with curves and soft shapes rather than a hard edge style. Proportion is very important to me, as is the juxtaposition between the male and female form. Subtlety is a thread that runs through most of my work.
I am learning to sketch and am looking forward to publishing a small collection of pencil sketches
Romantic Style
Most of my art, interiors and textile design has an element of The Romantic Style - whimsy, nostalgia and humour are key to my ability to create.
